Busy Day Ahead - Green Light Red Light

Here it begins...the debate...do we stay or do we go?

Today the day started as it always does...some small squeaks come through the white noise maker (a.k.a. the baby monitor) so with delay I rise up and head to the bedroom across the hall. There I find my smiling and completely awake baby ready to begin her day. So I change her and while I feed her, I am secretly hoping that she may just decide to go back to bed once her little belly is full. Then, not to my surprise, I hear the turning of a door knob and a quiet voice from down the hall, "Mom?".  So I reply, "good morning Maddy"... and without reply in comes a groggy sleepy eyed 4 year old with the same morning statement, "I'm hungry. I want breakfast!". Do I miss hearing "good morning Mom"? Well, in honesty, of course but in the world of a 4 year breakfast is pretty important, lol.

So with breakfast down and a morning cartoon on I decide now is the perfect time to sit and have my coffee...at least I thought it was a good idea!? All the sudden after hearing some crashes downstairs my 11 year old (man in the making) comes thundering up the stairs. "Morning Mom" he says...delightfully I reply, "Good morning Colton". He brings up some laundry and as I follow him back down to chit chat I notice...wow the litter box is stinking up my house. Didn't I just change it... :(

...and it begins...the busy, non stop house hold activities continue taking me farther and farther away from my half cup of now very cold coffee. From the attempt to have a body shower because doing my hair is becoming less of a priority, to answering the phone and helping Madison catch the cat while my baby naps, I realize once again...wow...life with three is very busy. But with that said, we get ourselves ready to head out the door to swimming lessons followed by some much needed grocery shopping.

But I do LOVE it...from time to time, lol. I absolutely do LOVE my children...ALL THE TIME. Would I trade it for anything else...no, I wouldn't!!! But I would like to enjoy a morning coffee. After all, wouldn't you?
